New Resident: Pat Smith

River Bend Park would like to welcome Pat Smith to our community!

Pat Smith was raised in Beebe, Arkansas and is a lifelong Arkansas native. She moved to Mountain Home after retirement and has been involved with local fishing and conservation organizations.  Pat Smith is the secretary for the North Arkansas Fly Fishers and the Sowbug Roundup, co-chair of the Fly Tying Committee, member of the Trout Task Force, chair of all the Hall of Fame Banquets, co-founder of the Damsel Fly Fishers, Vice-President at the Friends of the Norfork National Fish Hatchery and nine years of volunteering at the Purple Door for Serenity.

Pat has won several awards from the National Federation of Fly Fishers. She was awarded the Southern Council Woman of the Year in 1997, 2008 and 2014. She won the National Woman of the Year for 2005. In 1999, she received the Southern Council Excellence Award. Pat was awarded the President’s Award in 2008 and in 2015 was awarded the Gray Ghost Award - the highest award offered by the NAFF.

Pat says, “A good friend introduced me to Donna Montgomery late last year and in March of this year, I moved into River Bend Park. It’s a quiet and safe community. I love it here.”
