Arthur L. Van Matre Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located in Mountain Home and serves the senior residents (aged 60+) of Baxter County. During regular hours of operation, choices of activities usually include table games, billiards, computer classes, exercise classes, music events, public speakers, and more. Daily meals are served. 

Group socialization is encouraged, but if you prefer a quiet place to read or chat with friends, the opportunities and space are also available.

Transportation services are available to seniors, including wheelchair-accessible vans which travel on scheduled routes. Transportation is available for many types of activities, including medical appointments, shopping, personal errands, and even group trips to social and entertainment events as well as daily trips to the senior center located at 1101 Spring Street (facilities inside Cooper Park) in Mountain Home.
