Just down the road in Cotter’s Big Spring Park, you’ll find a two-mile walking trail that follows the White River upstream to the Denton Ferry site, which is a part of the Trail of Tears. You can also head downstream across the walking bridge and around the spring area of the park.
Mountain Home’s Cooper Park also has an extensive walking trail that winds along a large pond and through a recreated village of historic buildings from the area.
The track at Mountain Home High School is also available for use by the public outside of school and event hours.
The City Park in Gassville, just blocks from River Bend Park, is a well-kept facility with picnic areas, recreational equipment and a paved walking trail.
