Each year thousands of people line their boats in the blue waters of Lake Norfork to watch Independence Eve in Henderson, Arkansas. This year celebrates 30 years of Independence Eve festivities and this picture depicts the volume of boaters enjoying the beauty of patriotic celebration.
July 4th’s UNOFFICIAL Parade on Denton Ferry Road near Cotter, Arkansas was organized several years ago at the home of Tommy & Shella Hagan. The parade has grown from 3 decorated lawn mowers to various types of vehicles including an airplane! Friends and neighbors gather with parade entries and lawn chairs for the celebration and to give thanks to those who fought to keep our country free.
The 16th annual Red, White, & Blue Festival is a community festival set in the Ozark Mountains in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The festival offers a parade, rodeo, car show, concerts, kids’ activities, food, and more. The highlight of the festival was an amazing fireworks display on the Arkansas State University campus.
