Favorable weather and river conditions contributed to the Cotter-Gassville Chamber of Commerce’s successful 7th Annual Shawnee Trout Tournament with 88 teams in Shawnee boats competing. All those who entered the tournament were entered in a drawing to win a Shawnee fiberglass river boat donated by Rob Williams of the Shawnee & Supreme Boat Company. Shown is the team of Terry and Taylor Sites of Fayetteville, who won the boat. The team of Bobby and Cody Cheek won first place with a total weight of 13.1 lbs. with a payout of $1,000. They also took the pot for the biggest fish, a rainbow trout weighing 10.5 lbs. with a payout of $1,800.
